Bincho-tan Charcoal
Binchō-tan (Japanese), also called white charcoal or binchō-zumi, is a type of high-quality Charcoal traditionally used in Japanese Cooking. White charcoal is made by pyrolising wood in a kiln at approximately 240 °C (464 °F) for 120 hours, then raising the temperature to around 1,000 °C (1,830 °F). Binchō-tan is a type of hardwood charcoal which takes the natural shape of the wood that was used to make it. It is also harder than black charcoal, ringing with a metallic sound when struck. Due to its physical structure, binchō-tan takes on a whiter or even metallic appearance and, apart from being used for cooking, has other benefits such as absorption of odors
Hardwood Charcoal
Hardwood charcoal is the best choice for high-quality fuel, offering strong combustion power and long-lasting heat. Made from premium natural materials such as Swietenia mahagoni (mahogany), Tectona grandis (teak), Acacia mangium (acacia), Mangifera indica (mango), and Tamarindus indica (tamarind), this charcoal provides optimal heat with minimal ash. These hardwoods are known for their high density and slow-burning properties, making them ideal for cooking, barbecuing, or as a heat source in industrial settings. Hardwood charcoal also emits a natural aroma, free from chemical additives, making it a safer and more environmentally friendly option.
